Plastic prototype → metal part

Your plastic prototype worked. Now make it metal.

Built for engineers and makers who proved the design in plastic and now need the part in metal.

Two manufacturing routes

One upload. Two ways to metal.

STEP is preferred for CNC. STL or STEP can start a metal 3D-printing review.

Materials and finish

The right metal depends on the job, not the file.

See the process, material, and finish as one decision. We confirm the exact alloy and condition after reviewing the geometry and application.

Metal stock in several alloys and surface colors

Alloy families

Start with how the part must perform.

Aluminum, stainless steel, tool steel, titanium, copper, brass, and nickel alloys are matched to strength, weight, heat, corrosion, and wear.

CNC machining

Use billet where interfaces control the design.

Best suited to controlled faces, bores, threads, fits, and accessible geometry. STEP is preferred for review.

Finish and post-process

Treat the surface as part of the specification.

Heat treatment, anodizing, coating, polishing, post-machining, and inspection are scoped around the final use.

Need a specific alloy, temper, treatment, or certification? Add it to the project notes for confirmation.

Engineering brief

The geometry is only half the brief.

Give us the few facts the model cannot show. They guide the process, alloy, finish, and inspection scope.

What cannot change?
Fits, threads, sealing faces, datums, and critical dimensions.
Where will it work?
Load, heat, corrosion, wear, weight, and operating environment.
What must be verified?
Material condition, finish, inspection, and documentation needs.

Before you upload.

Ask a question
Can I upload only an STL?+

Yes. STL can go directly into a metal 3D-printing review. STEP is preferred when CNC precision matters.

Do I need to choose CNC or metal 3D printing?+

No. Ask us to recommend a process. We review the geometry, function, material, quantity, and finish together.

What happens after I upload?+

A person reviews the project and sends the recommended route, open questions, and quote scope. Production starts only after approval.
