// QUALITY_APPROACH

Quality starts by agreeing on what the part must do.

A logo or blanket tolerance is not a substitute for a clear requirement. FabRapid confirms the features, inspection, and documentation relevant to each request before production.

1. Review the design intent

We look for critical interfaces, missing requirements, file-fidelity risk, difficult access or supports, and tolerances that may change the process plan.

2. Confirm the requirement set

Process, material, quantity, finish, post-processing, critical dimensions, and requested documentation are made explicit before production is approved.

3. Match inspection to risk

Inspection effort should follow the part drawing and use case. The scope is confirmed with the quote rather than implied by a generic badge.

4. Document what was agreed

Reports, certificates, or other records are only included when they are available and listed in the confirmed project scope.

Put critical features on the drawing.

A solid model defines nominal geometry. A drawing communicates which features control function and how they should be verified.

  • Fits and mating diameters
  • Datum relationships
  • Threads and inserts
  • Flatness or perpendicularity needs
  • Cosmetic surfaces and finish
  • Requested inspection records
Certification note: this website does not claim a certification by default. If your project requires a specific quality system, material record, or compliance document, ask before uploading or ordering so availability can be confirmed in writing.

Define the important features before the quote.

Add a drawing or notes to the STEP, STL, or combined file packet so process, post-processing, and inspection can focus on what matters.
